OBJECTIVES

Raise $4.7 Million dollars to create a new crisis resource centre (with housing) for victims of sexual and domestic abuse and their families.

Key factors considered before taking action: 

  • Generate awareness of the charity and the urgent need for a new centre

  • Establish a meaningful brand for the campaign

  • Launch the first ever multi-million dollar charitable campaign in a small town

RESULTS

Created the “Courage” capital campaign brand 

Raised 4.7 M in just over 2 years

The new centre has been built and is already near full capacity

Broke a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title as one of the fundraising campaigns (raised $251,000 by creating the new longest line of banknotes)

Helped secure a naming rights sponsor – a major brand for the new Centre (to be announced in May)

Helped establish a sustainability fund and new foundation
